One thing I learned from Stranger Springs was that the starting world matters a great deal, and starting in a world with few lots is very limiting. For that reason I am starting in Windenburg, which I believe has the ideal neighborhood for starting a Build a City Challenge: Olde Platz.
With 8 modestly sized lots, Olde Platz has lots of room for early expansion and provides a perfect neighborhood for sims on a budget. It also has a nice number of fishing locations.
I rolled a 5, so I will start with a total of 6 residents. To me, sims are like ducks, and need to live in groups of at least 2, so this will mean 3 households for me. This time I’m going to try keeping all three households as married couples.
