Concept
The point of the Urban Founder challenge for Sims 4 is to start with nothing and work up from there. Complete aspirations, level skills, advance in careers, complete collections, and generally build out your community to gradually unlock abilities, worlds, lots, and occult types for your sims
You start in Newcrest with no access to most lot types, so you have to cope with life in an house setting early on. From there you branch out into other lot types and worlds, building and making new residents as you go.
Play is rotational, so you will keep aging off for non-played households and non-active households. You play each household for one week. I like to switch just after the season change on Sunday.
Mods
A few mods are used for this challenge:
- Sims National Bank – Bills
This enables more complexity for sims’ bills - MC Command Center with MC Woohoo
This allows you to control many aspects of your sims that are otherwise difficult. Among other things, you will use it to set a risky pregnancy chance (20%) and take children out of school until school is unlocked in the challenge.
Other mods that add realism or convenience may be used, but use your best judgement.

Note: This save has the holidays replaced with the pagan cross-quarter holidays, because I just can’t take the default Maxis holidays anymore. Jocelyn mastered the Cooking Skill, earning a Lot Reuse Point. Glenn ran enough to become Active. Glenn mastered the Rocket Science Skill, earning a Lot Reuse Point.

Renee and Timothy toured the world on a sort of honeymoon, both working on the Soulmate aspiration. Timothy got a Potion of Youth. Renee took the Space Ranger branch of the Astronaut career. Renee completed the Soulmate aspiration. She takes Bestselling Author next. Timothy completed the Soulmate aspiration. He takes Nerd Brain next. The family……
