Tiny House
To play with the Tiny House variation, start with only Tiny House unlocked instead of Residential. Unlock the tiers as follows.
| Micro (32 Tiles) | Open at the start of the challenge |

| Tiny (64 Tiles) | Complete a Teen or Adult aspiration. This can count toward whatever it would normally unlock. |
| Small (100 Tiles) | Reach level 5 of the Startup Entrepreneur branch of the Tech Guru career OR Found a business after fulfilling the building requirements |
| Residential | Complete the Friend of the World aspiration (Base Game) OR Reach level 5 in the Environmental Management branch of the Conservationist career (Island Living) |
Create a Sim Stories
To play with the CAS Stories variation, you must start all CAS sims with the story system.
Plan Ahead
To play with the Plan Ahead variation, you cannot switch between aspirations until the first aspiration has been completed.
One Life Extension
To play with the One Life Extension variation, you may extend each sim’s life only once.
