Stranger Springs, Round 1: Cassandra and William Pickett

Cassandra and William started out with the difficulty of needing a greenhouse and not really wanting to pay for one. William had an idea!

William and Cassandra are close-knit siblings

They built an A-frame greenhouse to save on construction costs.

Roofs are free, so building an A-frame greenhouse saved on construction costs.

To try to save money on food costs for William’s cooking and to try to earn extra money to pay for solar panels and seeds, William and Cassandra spent a long time fishing. A little good luck led them to catching a few cowplant berries, too, to help with the Freelance Botanist aspiration.

The most lucrative fish here seems to be… a violin?

Of course, William is among the infected, so he has a tendency to wander around and come home happy like Keaton and Ian.

William seems to like talking to plants in this state.

Another cost-saving method for gardeners came because they were in the season of Fall: Harvestfest and the many seeds that come from it meant that Cassandra only had to buy the base game plants.

Happy gnomes give out huge numbers of seeds

By the end of round 1, the garden is well underway. William has maxed his cooking skill, opening up a spot in the culinary career, which he promptly took up.

Whatcha got cookin’?
